Principles and Practice of Illustration. Finals

After scanning both elements of my final poster in and then playing around with them on photoshop until I was completely happy with the layout and colour by adding a grey wash to the monoprinted brick background to compose a greater contrast between the poster and the background which is one of the more successful elements of my project. I am very pleased with the posters final turned out since it has such a strong connection with my research and was composed of different elements from all of the workshops and development work I did for the project. Adding the letterpress into the final not only married my tickets and poster together but also because letterpress started to become largely out-of-date in the 1970s, this would of been the last sort of time they used it, therefore I decided to use this method to recreate this technique.
I am also really pleased with my train tickets, heavily inspired by Hogwarts tickets but also contains small hidden details like the date of the ticket (March 1979) being the year the album was realised and the price (£42.45) which is actually the length of the album.

In conclusion I am proud of the outcomes from this part of the project and I believe that all of my research and sketchbook work is the strongest part and that I hope to continue this strength of development work into the next part.
