Left - This page is actually where the idea for making my buildings out of letterpress came from, I was just experimenting with some letters I had printed and by turning it into an umbrella I came to the conclusion that the letters could also be transformed into building in the poster, this will give them a different depth and lots of texture.
Right - I also found the most appropriate font to use for my poster. I used the lyrics to decide on "Paris to Vienna" rather than the actual train destinations the Trans Europe Express would actually use.
Right - More experimental letter pressing.
Left - A small Lino cut I created to try and increase the different types of texture within my final piece. I have used reputation to compose a large brick wall (below) something I am going to try and incorporate more into the final piece rather than just texture.
