Narrative - (Text and Image) Mark Making

Because I want my narrative to be personal it felt appropriate that the drawings in the narrative will have a very hand-drawn tactile feel to them. I started by using lots of different types of pens, watercolours, pastels and any other kind of mark making tools I had around me at the time  I started to experiment with all the different textures and marks I could make. While making all these marks I really thought about the colours I used, I wanted to experiment with colour that would match and work well together so I could take this forward and use it in my final zine idea.
After scanning these sketchbook pages in I then proceeded to turn them preset brushes so I could use the marks easily in my work.
